Meet the Teachers

  • Mat Naseat

    DIRECTOR

    Mr. Naseat is the Director at the Spring of Hope School. He also is the computer teacher for students from the Phoum I Svay Khleang Primary School and Kroch Chhmar High School.

    Teacher Naseat is from Phonaea Krek district, Tbong Kmum province in Cambodia. He received a Bachelor of English Literature degree from Cambodia University for Specialities (CUS) in Kampong Cham.

  • Bour Sombo

    TEACHER

    Teacher Sombo teaches an English Time B and a Pre-Intermediate class at the Spring of Hope School, as well as teaching a grade 12 English class at Kroch Chhmar High School. Teacher Sombo likes teaching with actions, encouraging students to stand up and act out words or phrases, and making jokes to keep students engaged in learning.

    Teacher Sombo is from Kroch Chhmar district, Thobong Kmum province in Cambodia. He received a Bachelor of English and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Cambodia University for Specialities (CUS) in Kampong Cham.

  • Him Kong

    TEACHER

    Teacher Kong teaches English Time D and Beginner classes at the Spring of Hope School. He also teaches grade 11 and 12 Khmer literature at Kroch Chhmar High School, and an extra evening English class.

    Teacher Kong is from Svay Khleang commune, Kroch Chhmar district, Thobong Kmum province in Cambodia. He received both a Bachelor of English and Bachelor of Khmer Literature from the University of Management and Economics in Kratie Province. He also received a Masters of Business Administration degree from Cambodia University for Specialities (CUS) in Kampong Cham.

  • Somroh

    TEACHER

    Teacher Somroh is from Village 5, Svay Kleang commune, Krouch Chmar district, Tbong Khmom Province. Somroah graduated from Krouch Chmar High School in 2015 and now teaches two classes at Spring Of Hope School.

    She says "I like to teach with action, ask students to work in group, to make a small conversation and role play or practice to speak English to improve. Let them try to write, read a lot, repeat and give them 15 minutes to play a game on Saturday. And I try to teach them until I can fulfill my goals that need the students who can write, read, and speak well to get real knowledge from our school the Spring of Hope School. They will have a good job and get the bright future for life".

  • Chreb Morn

    TEACHER

    Teacher Chreb Morn teaches an Elementary class at the Spring of Hope School. She also teaches grade 9 and 10 students english and home economics at Krouch Chhmar High School.

    Teacher Chreb is from Kompong Siem district, Kompong Cham province in Cambodia. She has received a Bachelor of English Literature from Cambodia University for Specialties (CUS) in Kompong Cham. She has also received a certificate for Teacher with Higher Educations from the National Institute of Education (NIE) in Phnom Penh.

  • Man Lida

    TEACHER

    Teacher Man Lida is originally from village 5 in Svay Khleang Commune, Kroch Chmmar District, Tbong Khmom Province. She instructs a Beginner class at Spring of Hope School and teaches English to grades 8 and 9 at Chea Chork Secondary School.

    Graduating from the Regional Teacher Training Center of Kampong Cham and holding a Bachelor's degree in English from the Western University of Kampong Cham, Teacher Lida has a strong educational foundation.

    Teacher Lida's educational journey has come full circle. As a former student of Spring of Hope School in 2013, she deeply appreciates the support of Spring of Hope's donors who proved instrumental in her own education and is grateful to return to Spring of Hope School as a teacher.
