Scholarship Program

In Cambodia, less than 5% of the rural population graduates from high school.

Spring of Hope School (SOHS) seeks to change this by offering scholarships to students who are successful in their secondary school education and are eager to continue to university.

The SOHS Scholarship Program aims to increase access to higher education for rural students who may face various obstacles in pursuing their academic goals. The program selects students based on a thorough evaluation process that takes into account multiple factors such as grades, attendance, motivation, family support, financial stability, and other components that can impact a student's ability to succeed in their academic pursuits.

The selection process takes place when students have completed SOHS's pre-intermediate class and enter Grade 12 of public school.

The cost of supporting one student through university is approximately $600 per year, which can be a significant financial burden for families in rural areas where the average income is low. Without financial support, higher education may be out of reach for many students. Our scholarship program provides university tuition; continuing support is premised on a student maintaining a 3.0 academic average.
